For those interested in changing the world, education is a great place to start. So much of alleviating poverty, eliminating disease, increasing peace, lowering crime and creating positive, sustainable change hinges on education.
The challenges are great all over the world as poverty, disease, discrimination, child trafficking and labor, a lack of infrastructure investment and other significant cultural barriers prevent people from getting educated and seeking a brighter future.
So much of alleviating poverty, eliminating disease, increasing peace, lowering crime and creating positive, sustainable change hinges on education.
Though almost all of our programs have an educational aspect to them, our more education-specific activities include school construction, curriculum development, sending teacher-mentoring teams overseas through Hope Corps, and our Adopt-A-Classroom program.
